Plant Crafting - A Day of Plant Art and Community

Join us in a day of Eco Printing and Plant Crafting! With this day, you will learn how to eco print on a silk scarf that you will take home. Everything for the printing will be supplied for you. No experience necessary.

What is eco printing?

Fabric Eco Printing is a way to use the natural dyes of plants and flowers onto natural fibers. We will learn about the process of natural dying including Scouring, Mordanting, and the best way to preserve your natural prints.

Paper Eco Printing is using natural dyes of plants and flowers onto paper.

All printing materials and supplies are included in your ticket.

What else will we do?

- Bring a vegan pot-luck dish for a shared lunch. *Please bring a bowl/plate with utensils. Water will be provided.

- Edible/medicinal plant walk around our area of the park.

- We will have a table set up for eco hammer-printing of cards and paper.

*Spaces are limited. Children ages 12-17 are up to parent discretion and will need parent supervision.

Bring a bathing suit and towel if you would like to go to Howard Park Beach afterwords. Their is a $5 fee for the beach, however, our parking for our shelter is FREE.
